Hello! My name is Ivana Pen and I'm a graphic designer and sometimes-photographer. I studied graphic design in the York University/Sheridan College Joint Program in Design (Bachelor of Design Honours Degree) and recently graduated from this esteemed program in Spring 2011.

In my four years in the YSDN program, I focused mainly on print-based media such as public communications (poster design), editorial and book design, as well as information design and typography. The basic design principles of print can easily be applied to electronic media like webdesign, or even photography. I have developed strong conceptual skills and above all am concerned in establishing a balance between form and function in all of my works.

I can best be described as charismatic and bold, and am not the type of person to shy away from a situation or project. I love to learn new things and have become somewhat of a documentary junkie, always eager to know more and better myself and my own understanding of the world around me.
